Van sun visors: what they do and how they are fitted
External windscreen sun visors for vans, pick-ups and 4x4s: glare reduction, vehicle-specific fit and what fitting involves.
An external sun visor is a shaped panel mounted above the windscreen. It helps reduce sun glare through the top of the windscreen and gives vans, pick-ups and 4x4s a rugged, purposeful look. Cappafe sun visors are designed for a specific make, model and year range for a neat, factory-style fit.
Benefits
- Less glare from a low sun through the top of the windscreen.
- A distinctive front end that suits work vans and pick-ups.
- Vehicle-specific shape that follows the roof line of your model.

Fitting: what to expect
Sun visors attach above the windscreen using the fixing kit supplied, and some drilling may be required on certain models — the product page says so where it applies. If you are not comfortable drilling, a local garage or bodyshop can fit it for you.
- Read the instructions and check all parts are in the box.
- Offer the visor up and mark the fixing points.
- Fit the brackets, then the visor, and tighten evenly.
- Check that nothing touches the windscreen or blocks the view of the road.
Pair it with a bonnet deflector
Our sun visor + bonnet deflector sets give a matching front end and cost less than buying the two parts separately. Sets are available for popular vans such as the Ford Transit (Mk5 to Mk9), Transit Connect and Transit Custom.

Will it fit my van if the model matches?
Always check the years in the title — roof and windscreen shapes change between generations.
